Berries and Whipped Cream
Ingredients
2 cups fresh mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Wash the berries thoroughly under cold water. If using strawberries, remove the stems and slice them into smaller pieces if desired. Place the berries in a bowl and set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
Using an electric mixer or a whisk, whip the cream mixture until it thickens and forms soft peaks. Be careful not to overmix, as it can turn into butter.
Once the whipped cream is ready, spoon it over the berries in the bowl. You can also layer the berries and cream in individual serving dishes or glasses for an elegant presentation.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the berries, ensuring they are evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the berries too much; a gentle fold will preserve their shape and texture.
Serve the berries and whipped cream immediately, or refrigerate for up to an hour before serving if desired. The chilled dessert is especially refreshing on hot days.
Optional: You can garnish the dish with a sprig of fresh mint or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for an extra touch of elegance.
Enjoy your delicious Berries and Whipped Cream! It makes for a delightful and light dessert, perfect for enjoying during the summer or any time you crave a fruity and creamy treat.
